TATUA COOPERATIVE DAIRY CO. Established in 1914, Tatua is the only dairy co-operative remaining in that has never been part of any amalgamation. It is entirely owned by 128 farmer shareholders. The company processes 120 million litres of milk per year, and exports more than 90% of its products throughout the world. Since 1995, Tatua has used Infomace International’s Supplier Payments System which was specifically written for the Dairy Industry. The system provides accounting control over payments to its suppliers: Information is gathered by the Transport System and combined with milk quality results and specific laboratory test results to arrive at a quantity of milk at a specific quality level for every collection. Payments are made at the end of each month by extending each daily quantity at the appropriate rate for the quality level, applying retrospective period payment adjustments, then deducting amounts for penalty grades, loan repayments, trading purchases etc. |
